Your Volvo V70 coolant temperature sensor measures engine head temperature and relays that temperature to the gauge on the dash. This allows you to see when the engine is cold, operating within the appropriate temperature range, or if your engine is running too hot and needs to be checked out. Corrosion is the main cause for your Volvo V70 coolant temperature sensor to fail. Eating away at the sensor and prohibiting it from correctly reading engine temperature. The Facet 73110 temperature sensor is direct replacement for the original Volvo 3545031 coolant temperature sensor used on the 1998 Volvo V70, C70, and S70 as well as the 1993-1997 Volvo 850 and 960.
